This adapts the '57 style carb to the '55 intake.
The original ’55 air cleaner will not fit the new ’57 style carburetor. So you will need 9600-57 air cleaner.
Another part you will need is a distributor. Either a 1957 distributor, or our replacement distributor, 12127R (which has a mechanical tach drive) The problem is that the vacuum advance signal from the 1957 style carburetor is too much for the 1955 distributor and the car will be advanced all of the time. Also you will need part number 9520 which is the special fuel line for the replacement ’57 style carburetor.
The kit has special a tube included to adapt the new carburetor to your ’55 choke pot.
