The little bird was not originally equipped with a rear sway bar. Customers report that this does make the ride just a bit stiffer.

Beware - installation on a 57 unlikely to work |
| This unit does not appear to be made for a 57 which has a different rear axle than 55-56 models plus a different exhaust system. Nothing mentioned in the instructions about this. Many, many hours spent trying to get it to fit without interfering with the exhaust or the frame - no success. Finally ended up not installing it. |
