 Detailed Description
The letters should be painted black on the back side. A brass cover part# 18620 is installed on the back anyway, so the light is not going to shine through the letters. The way the letters are lighted is through the small raised areas on the outside edge of the back side. Light shines into these small areas and then is reflected off the angle on the front and across the letters. If the raised areas are mistakenly painted black, tape some fine sandpaper to a table and rub the back of the part on the sandpaper until the raised areas are clear of paint.
