 Detailed Description

COMES WITH 9276 GASKET

For use on 1955 with the original dash gage on 6v) Resistance readings 20 to 120 ohms Full to Empty.

This should work with the original gauge, however some have reported problems with their gauge.

Sender is installed in tank with float toward rear.

Fuel gauge now works! 6/26/2020
I troubleshot my gas gauge and found the float in the tank was shot and the sending unit needed attention. I purchased the replacement sending unit and received it two days later. Before installing I set the two units side by side and connected the new one with 16 gauge wire to test it. I checked the range of motion of the float arm and found it would just touch full all the way up and it would show empty at about the 1/8 tank level. Perfect. Wont run out of gas. Make sure you clock the gasket to the flange holes not evenly spaced and the float arm faces the rear of the tank. Only minor issue is the original tank used a flat spade connector and the replacement holds the wire with a nut. Easy to solve.
