Rubber trunk mat was original for 1956 through May 1956 after that burtex was used as in the 1957 models. This mat is the best and only known available 1956 rubber trunk mat. It is made on the original tooling. Unfortunately the tooling is damaged and there are what looks like cracks in the rubber that should not be there. CTCI knows that this is the situation and will not deduct for this mat. As an alternative, we have a burtex mat available. This is made from material like the 1957 mat. It is only original for late 1956 models but is a great alternative to this rubber mat.
