 Detailed Description

Comes with 3 gaskets in a cardboard foldover for protection. Do not discard as packing material.

Machined and assembled in USA

WIll this work on non-Tbird engines? No - The pump only fits on Thunderbird engines. TBird engines can be identified by the 1" or so spacer that is situated between the water pump and the timing chain cover. It is the extra room created by the spacer that this pump exploits with extra fins on the back of the water pump impeller.

Solved creeping temp at idle 5/3/2021
Pump fit perfect. Getting water movement at idle where there was none before thanks to the added blades on the back of the impeller. No more heating problems with the car in traffic or idling. Went with the larger 170* thermostat recommended. Still running stock radiator and a 6-blade fan since I have a/c.

Modified Pump 11/19/2019
Great part, like another reviewer said everyone should consider installing one. I did not have a chance to drive the car in hot weather before I worked on it however the radiator needed to be replaced so I also did the water pump, thermostat, hoses, etc. all at once. Drove it several times in 90 degree weather and no signs of overheating problems.

Water movement 11/19/2019
I bought this high output water pump about 3 years ago for my 57. The pump keeps the temp of my t-bird down by 15%. I dont worry about overheating anymore and thats a great thing during the Arizona summers.

I installed this pump over the summer and my car never overheats. Well engineered.

The first thing you should do! 11/9/2019
Replace your water pump with this! If you plan to be in a parade and you will any traffic ... or just driving past the cruise hangout to see the jaws drop, this will keep the coolant moving in your Birds Y-Block. Combine with the 6 blade fan / electric fan, and over flow container after a good flush and you will have all the confidence you need to cruise!

Overheating - SOLVED 8/30/2018
With the Texas summers, I was concerned that I would experience the typical overheating problems so I researched your new pump design option. Based upon what I discovered, I installed CASCO’s High Output Water Pump . Immediately, I noticed that the engine coolant temperature did not fluctuate as drastically as before. Additionally, I noticed that in stop and go traffic, the engine temperatures stayed within the mid range of the operating temperatures. The slow traffic engine temperature also stayed easily within the mid range of safe cooling even with my vintage air conditioning on. I found that I did not have to turn on my electric fan as I had before. The electric fan now has become a back up system if needed. I did record the coolant temperatures immediately upon returning to my home and the exit temperatures of the engine were surprisingly nominal 185-195 as hoped for as well as the temperature of the coolant entering back into the engine from the lower radiator hose was in the mid 165 degree range . This confirms that the High Output Pump was performing as claimed.
